A native of the city of Franklin and Williamson County, I've lived in this county my entire life. I started working at the age of 10 cutting lawns. As a young man of 15, I went to work at the service station and garage on West Main Street in Franklin that I later purchased. For 46 years, I owned and operated it as a full-service gas station with two bays for car maintenance.
In 2016, I sold the building and property — it's now Hank's Coffee Station. I've since kept my business going as a mobile auto mechanic. Over 50 years in business has taught me how to be a leader, how to manage people, and how to be a good steward of money. I credit my uncle for having taught me the value of money and how to be successful.
To my customers, I am simply "Kahn." Above all, I am their friend.
As a businessman for over 50 years, I have given back to the community. I'm a familiar presence at community events, and an underwriter and contributor to many worthwhile causes. I am dedicated to doing what I can to contribute worthwhile and lasting improvements that will enhance the quality of life in Williamson County.
"I cannot in good conscience seek your vote with a promise that your taxes won't be raised. A candidate that would campaign on such a promise lacks the leadership and maturity for the job. As for taxes, and each issue before me, I will use the same principles of common sense, fairness, and integrity that have served me as a business owner."
